As two overweight teenagers and
one overweight audlt, Dr. Kim Hiatt, Trisha Sveistrup, and Marna Goldstein Thall found that dieting caused bingeing, overeating, deprivation and
isolation. After tirelessly searching for just the "right diet" these
three found a solution to their weight struggles by understanding how to
eat, think and live the way the naturally thin do. In doing
so, these three have maintained their weight loss and have helped
thousands around the globe to do the same.
These experts know that if diets worked, then every overweight
person could go on the same one diet to shed pounds, yet that is simply
not the case. People who have dieted most of their lives have actually
been found to weigh more than their non-dieting counterparts.
Kim
Hiatt, Ph.D completed
her Ph.D in the area of childhood and adolescent obesity and earned
her masters degree in psychology. She is now dedicated to helping
individuals transform their bodies and body-esteem through
cutting-edge philosophy and techniques. As a respected expert in
the field, Kim Hiatt PhD presents at national conferences, schools,
and is featured in the documentary Facing the Fat.
Kim’s Story
As a child, my parents reassured me
that my baby fat was cute, but I vividly remember being called “Miss
Piggy” and the boy I liked wouldn’t be my boyfriend because he said
I had a big butt. I felt sad, frustrated, and defeated.
Trisha
Sveistrup, B Ed., is a speaker, author and coach, who supports
people who want to
lose
weight and
increase their self-esteem without dieting. Trisha volunteers her
time and talent to the Women’s Health Weight Preoccupation Community
Education Program; she has written over 30 articles, and is getting
ready to release her book ‘LiveThin Now: A Guide to Living Your
Dreams With the Body You Love’ Winter 2010.
Trisha's Story
I was involved in sports throughout high school, however, I gained
over 40 pounds between
my
university years and having children. I was in complete
denial, since I was active for
most of my life, I didn’t think that being overweight was an issue
for me. But now, I see I was hiding myself under big, baggy clothes
and I was trapped in an endless battle with my self-defeating
self-talk. Now I wear fitted clothes, I listen to my body, and feel
great.

Marna Goldstein Thall, CHT has
spent over a decade helping thousands of people learn how to
manage their weight in a healthy way through her coaching,
seminars, and products. Marna is featured in several books,
articles, and in the documentary Facing the Fat.
Marna’s
story
I was so
ashamed of my body that I refused to get my picture taken or
look at myself in a mirror. I went on diet after diet and
thought that if I just had more discipline and willpower that I
could finally lose the extra weight. It didn’t work.
Then I
discovered how to be Thin from Within. I lost over 30 pounds,
going from a size 16 to a size 8 without dieting, without
deprivation, and without weighing and measuring my food. I have
successfully kept my weight off for over 14 years and even love
having my picture taken. For the last 10 years, I have been
helping others become Thin from Within. You are not alone and
you can do it, too!
